You can also encourage them to deal with people by giving them money and letting them pay for their own ice cream at the counter. It is our responsibility to build their confidence at a very tender age.

3. Praise them and give them reward

I still remember when I was in preschool, my teacher would give me stars on my book for every great work I’ve done. I never realised it but it does plays a major impact in my confidence at that time. I was getting very excited to do my homework and can’t wait to send the work to my teacher. That is a very good confidence boosting strategy that you can use. Building confidence in children doest have to be about giving expensive gift, it can be as simple as a praise or, like I said before, stars!

4. Give your child responsibilities

Responsibilities gives them confidence like any other. Responsibility make them feel trusted. The idea here is to make them proud that their parent trusted them. You can start by giving them responsibility to clean up their room. You need to monitor their performance and give them praises for any good things they do. Maybe you can take them to their favourite restaurants as a an appreciation gift. As they grew older give them another responsibilities that are suitable for their age. This will boost their confidence even more!

5. Teach your kids to respect others

You can build your children’s confidence from an early age by teaching them to respect others. Show them good values and never let them look down on anybody (unless they are helping them to get up!). Tell them to be nice to people who are less fortunate. Give them money so they can put them into a charity box. By respecting others they will eventually be more thankful of what they’ve got, they will appreciate life more and hopefully they will be more confidence.
